Chi-Slamma-Jamma was in full effect tonight. The Chicago Bulls were throwing lobs to Andre Drummond and Javonte Green all night to help elevate them to a win. The Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 124-109 to make it two in a row and get back to over .500 on the season.
The Bulls made this one a little too close for comfort at certain points tonight but managed to hold on. The Bulls led this game by 24 points in the 2nd quarter before the Pacers managed to quickly chip away at the lead. In the end, the Bulls managed to hold on in the 4th quarter and put together a second straight impressive win.
The star of the night goes to Zach Lavine for his 28-point performance. Lavine managed to shoot 6-8 from three-point range to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Besides that everyone did their part. Common performances from Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan and Ayo Dosunmu that should always help lead the Bulls to a win.
Once again though, we cannot preach enough how important the bench mob is to this team. Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic are starting to become an elite duo off the bench as they are easily two bright spots thus far. Dragic had 13 points with 5 assists. Drummond on the other hand was slamming and jamming all over the Pacers, going for 8 points and 13 rebounds.
Patrick Williams seemed to gain some confidence tonight scoring 10 points and going 2-2 from three-point range. It is a big step forward considering how his season has gone thus far, but he is still not getting quality minutes in big moments during the game. The same goes for Coby White who only logged 9 minutes tonight.
Overall, solid performance for the Bulls tonight. You need to beat teams like the Pacers, and it was huge that they were able to hold their ground even when the Pacers began to chip away. The Bulls hit the road to take on San Antonio on Friday night where they look to make it three in a row.
