Pain, so much pain.
I do not care if the Bears never looked great tonight. They were absolutely robbed. I do not know how you can not call that a touchdown. It drained all momentum out of what should have been a one-score game. Who knows what happens after they score this touchdown? It is a completely different ballgame if they rule that a touchdown.
You then begin to ask the question, how does the NFL not have the technology to know if the ball crosses the goal line? The NFL rules are so funky and borderline corrupt.
It does not help either that every single call was in favor of the Packers all night. The amount of holding penalties that were not called was unbelievable. The Packers need all the help in the world to beat the Chicago Bears. It is laughable.
Yes they ran the ball all over us, yes we could not tackle; it is a completely different game if they rule that a touchdown. If they ruled the Fields run a touchdown, and we still ended up losing, I would not be this upset. But the referees did not let that happen.
Also, what were we doing in the shotgun on that run? I also might be talking differently if they just pounded Fields or Montgomery right up the middle, but no we had to run the shotgun.
The Chicago Bears show more grit and are a lot better coached than they were a year ago. This one is just going to sting for a week.
I never expected to win, but losing like that sucks. Bring on the Texans I guess. A new week starts tomorrow. Going to need a lot of adjustments offensively and defensively.
One day things will change. Brighter days are ahead. For now, I go to sleep on a Sunday in tears and in misery.
