One win is a win. Two wins in a row is a streak.
That is the current vibe of my fantasy team. After starting an awful 0-4 in fantasy football, there may be a chance that my team is officially back. I am putting out my best lineup of the year this week. I made some trades and am finally getting good returns out of players that I drafted. I may be back.
Enough about me, let us get into what my five weekly viewers love to read every single week. The fantasy football awards!!!
Let us all be honest here. Football has been pretty ass this year. Even the most anticipated games this week were low-key, disappointing. It even feels like a super low scoring year across fantasy football. There is really no specific player/players that are pulling away from the rest like in years past.
Either way, you are here to see awards, not me complaining. So let's get into it.
King in the Castle - I did say I was done talking about myself, but I lied. Joe Burrow was one of the main reasons I propelled to a win this weekend.
In his return to Louisiana, Burrow did not disappoint. Burrow pulled up to the stadium in a Ja'Marr Chase National Championship-worn jersey. From that moment, the Saints should have known they were screwed. It took a second for the Bengal offense to get it going, but once it did it exploded.
He managed to find Chase for two touchdowns including a 60-yard bomb. Burrow through for 300 yards and had four total touchdowns. Joe Burr is the king in the castle.

Kirk Cousins of the Week - Honestly I could not really come up with a good enough reason for anyone to get the Kirk of the week. So by default, Kirk Cousins is the winner this week. I hate you Kirk.
Jameis Winston of the Week - There is a handful of options for someone to be the Jameis of the week. THREE players had the perfect touchdown to interception ratio over two. Plus, Cooper Rush threw three picks as well. It was so hard to pick one guy to win it. After a lot of debating, I decided to give it to Patrick Mahomes with an honorable mention to Jimmy Garoppolo and Teddy Bridgewater.
I am only giving this to Mahomes because he should never win this again and he threw the pick in the biggest moment of the game. As I said, this should never happen again.
Honorary Chris Collinsworth: “Now Here’s A Guy” - K9 has officially arrived. Kenneth Walker was probably considered one of the biggest mid-round busts up til this moment. A tragic injury and an increased workload might help make Walker one of the best running backs in fantasy going forward.
Walker had 97 rushing yards to go along with a touchdown, and he just looked so good. Not to brag, but this guy is also on my fantasy teams. I am pretty excited for him going forward. This week was just a small sample size of what could come.

Missing: If Found Please Call - The Bronco defense shut-down Justin Herbert. I am so sorry to anyone that bet Justin Herbert 1+ touchdown for +100 on Draft Kings. That is literally insane that it did not hit. Just shows sports books know what they are doing.
Besides that crazy coincidence, Herbert had a pretty brutal week. Nothing any fantasy owners want to see out of their starting quarterback. Herbert had no touchdowns, a pick and 238 passing yards. A decent amount of passing yards, but it really does not matter if he is not throwing touchdowns.
You Just Got Steeler'd - The Steelers certainly made some noise on Sunday. The Steelers managed to hold the Buccaneer offense to one single touchdown and win the game. Mitchell Trubisky came in for an injured Kenny Pickett and was finding Chase Claypool all day.
For the Buccaneer offense, mostly duds across the board. Nice games from Leonard Fournette and Chris Godwin, but Tom Brady and Mike Evans put up unexpected duds.
I was talking to my friend a week ago about the fact that the Steelers might be really bad, and they proved my ass wrong. They might be a little better than bad. KEEP MITCH IN TOMLIN.
Waiver Wire of the Week - If you picked up Deon Jackson and started him this week, congratulations! Jackson went off against Jacksonville and had the best game for a Colts running back all year long. Shocking right?
Jackson took over in a messy situation and ran all over. He ran for 42 yards with a rushing touchdown but had 10 RECEPTIONS for 79 yards.
It seems like Jonathan Taylor is coming back this upcoming week, but if you had Jackson this past week, you should be content with his one-week contribution.

This Is The Year of the Wide Receiver - This really is not an award, as it is more of a headline. This truly is the year of the wide receiver. Going into this year, all anybody worried about was making sure they had the best group of running backs that one could build. Now looking back, you probably wish you stacked up on wide receivers.
Just this week alone, five wide receivers showed up in the top 10 for points scored in fantasy football. The other five are four quarterbacks (understandably) and only one running back. This is not a one-week trend though, this has been an all-year thing.
Four wide receivers make up the top 10 for fantasy football total points. It is all the guys you expect. Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Ja'Marr Chase and Stefon Diggs are all putting up major points week by week. You might now be regretting taking a running back in the first round.
